The Museum Vincenzo Vela
The nineteenth-century villa owned by Vincenzo Vela, with its magnificent park, is among the most celebrated artists’ house-museums in Europe. At one time the sculptor’s residence, studio, and private museum, after his death it was donated by his son Spartaco to the Swiss Confederation. In addition to the permanent collection, the Museo Vincenzo Vela hosts temporary exhibitions, multidisciplinary events, and cultural mediation projects. It is an open space dedicated to the sharing of knowledge, reflection, and enjoyment.
